FAQ’s
Do you make your pieces in solid gold, or gold vermeil?
YES; I can make any piece in yellow, white or rose gold, in either 9ct or 18ct. Alternatively, I also offer any piece in gold vermeil. Prices vary per piece and are dependant on the current metal costs; if you’re interested in a piece in a metal that is not listed, please do email me on infoemeleven@gmail.com and I’ll get back to you with a quote as soon as I can.
How long does it take for you to ship your pieces?
At the moment the lead time on all current pieces (excl. commissions) is up to 4 weeks. This is because each piece is made by me, by hand, to order. I will always endeavour to make your pieces as quickly as possible, often under 4 weeks if I can.
Do you make wedding bands?
YES; it’s important your jewellery is right for you; send me an email to infoemeleven@gmail.com with your ideas and we can go from there!
Do you do commissions?
YES; I love commissions and creating unique pieces with personal meaning. The minimum lead time on commissions is 6 weeks, though this is dependant on the piece being made. Send me your ideas to infoemeleven@gmail.com and we can discuss!
How do I look after my silver jewellery?
Chemicals and contaminants can tarnish sterling silver, making it appear dull and sometimes black. Whilst frustrating, it’s a normal reaction. Top tips for keeping tarnish and oxidisation at bay:
Avoid wearing your jewellery when doing household chores, cleaning supplies do not like silver.
Hitting the gym or lounging in the sun? Take your jewellery off - salt (sweat!) can cause silver to darken.
Take your jewellery off before swimming, hot tubs, or saunas (chlorine and heat is a no-go!)
Be careful with your beauty products - let your lotions and perfumes dry on your skin before putting your jewellery on.
Keep your jewellery away from sulphur, even when cooking (eggs and mayonnaise, for example, will cause your silver to oxidise quickly).
Consider good storage - it’s best to store your silver in individual, air-tight bags with anti-tarnish properties.
Invest in a silver polishing cloth - they work wonders!
